Passwords are all well and good, but how am I supposed to download a file that I want that is password protected??? Kind of defeats the purpose of “sharing” doesn’t it? Can someone help me out with this?

I thought that password protecting a folder also prevents users to view files contained it it. But if a user has the link of a file, password protection does not work at all… So in my situation it is useless… 🙁

Almost every file downloaded from 4shared is password protected guess 4shared is nw a store and ni more a file sharing website maybe i’ll have to check out some other websites for better file sharing purposes.

Dear Silva! It’s a pity. But you can contact the author of the folder you’ve downloaded and ask the password.
