Can I exclude some folders to be synced?

I’m confused 🙁 I don’t if I’m supposed to log into 4sync or 4shared. I originally signed on with 4sync, but only 4shared has allowed me to log in. Meanwhile I’m locked out of my 4Sync account. As a test I saved a file to My Documents folder using the 4Sync application that has been installed but unused for months and the file doesn’t show up in the 4Shared account. Are these two separate services or has one merged into the other. I can’t tell from the info on either website. Until I can figure this out I’m apprehensive about migrating from Dropbox….

I’m not sure if this is relevant but, I’ve also noticed that the 4Sync desktop application has been unsuccessfully attempting to update on my computer for a few weeks now.
